- 양방향 원격검침을 지원하는 국제표준 프로토콜 DLMS/COSEM (IEC 62056)

DLMS/COSEM – Meter data exchange for all energies .... Automatic Meter Reading, or more general - Demand Side Management - needs universal definitions, needs communication standards. DLMS/COSEM is the common language so that the partners can understand each other.  - DLMS Device Language Message specification - a generalised concept for abstract modelling of communication entities  - COSEM Companion Specification for Energy Metering - sets the rules, based on existing standards, for data exchange with energy meters

1.1 DLMS; Device Language Message Specification

상호 호환성 확보를 목적으로 계량기가 다루고 있는 각종 데이터를

1) 논리적인 객체로 모델링하고

2) 이를 표준화된 자료구조로 데이터 메시지를 정의하고

3) 다양한 전송 매체로 전송 방법을 규정한 원격검침용 통신 프로토콜 국제 규격이다.
(전화기, RS232(Optic), RS485, RF, 지그비, CDMA, PLC..)

1.2 COSEM; Companion Specification for Energy Metering (에너지 미터 사양 지침서)

에너지 검침 통신에 대한 인터페이스 모델이며 객체 지향 접근방식(Object-Oriented approach)을 토대로한다.

* 객체지향 접근방식

명령어와 데이터로 구분하여 자료를 표현하고 모든 사물을 명령어(Method)와 속성(Attribute)의 집합체인 객체(Object)로 파악하는 방법이다.

2. DLMS/COSEM의 목적

- DLMS/COSEM 미터 관련 기기들의 상호간의 데이터 교확을 위해 제공되는 통신 프로토콜

- 프로토콜 상의 데이터 교환 및 접근 방법을 제공

크게 아래 3단계로 기기간의 데이터를 처리하고 전송하는 과정을 수행한다.

1) Modeling: 인터페이스 관련 정책 및 법칙 등을 정의

2) Messaging: APDU 등의 데이터 암호화/복호화 등을 처리

3) Transporting: 통신 채널을 통해 사전 작업된 메시지를 전송
